This Saturday, the Chilton County Humane Society will be open for trick or treating and adoptions (reduced adoption fees for this event: dogs $80, cats $60).

New Executive Director and all-around good guy, Joe Murphy, has already made a significant difference with the Chilton County Humane Society since coming aboard in May of this year. If you are looking to adopt in the area, please consider them.

“Initially, I want to reduce the overcrowding and the sickness,” Murphy said Thursday. “I just want to keep the animals happy and healthy.”
